the lay off

so my day job has an interesting quirk to it. a blessing and a curse.

every year i have a seasonal layoff, meaning there's not enough work to keep me on so they send me home with the promise of bringing me back later in the fall when the work returns.

my summer vacation has begun.

but, for me a vacation wouldn't be the same without trying to pack as much work into it as possible. so the quick list:

prepare The Oil Boiler for Chicago
prepare The Oil Boiler for a possible movie adaptation
work on three new play scripts
generate new pieces for annual show in salem, ma
update website with new work
send out hundreds of portfolios/querry letters in hope of generating enough freelance that i don't have to go back to the 'day job.'
band practice
band shows
paint as many goddamn paintings as i can
set up new shows for the fall and winter
do the family thing.

so now my updates will be more regular. i hope.
cheers
